--All of Henry County's Best

Want some "good eats?"  Want do do something the whole family can enjoy?  Love live music?  Come on out to the Henry County Harvest Showcase and Farmers Market!

You can enjoy a locally grown lunch under the shade of the "Big Tent".  Noted Chefs will be visiting from Louisville and we will also be featuring our own Chuck Smith's Barbeque.  There will be several local music groups performing and the Henry County Arts and Crafts Guild will be hosting a booth where you can purchase that special gift you need.  The kids will enjoy a petting zoo and hayrides, and special games for the kids.  There will be farm fresh produce, hay, straw, flowers and much more.

The Harvest Showcase is a grassroots movement to promote our agricultural economy not only to our residents but city neighbors too.   Last year's attendence was over 1000 from 8 counties.

This event is Coordinated by the Henry County Chapter of the Community Farm Alliance.

Citizens Committee Meeting -- Local Humane Society

Any Henry County residents that would like to be part of "the solution" are invited to attend a committee meeting at the Henry County Public Library in Eminence, at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3rd.

Other humane organizations will have representatives attending to help guide us through the process of creating a locally based and operated Humane Society.
